Italian energy giant Enel SpA (BIT:ENEL) said on Monday its 199-MW expansion to the Cimarron Bend wind farm in Kansas and the 236.5-MW White Cloud wind farm in Missouri had been connected. Through Enel Green Power North America Inc, the Italian energy giant invested some USD million 661 (EUR 540.2m) in total to finance both initiatives.
The installed capacity of Cimarron Bend now reaches 599 MW, making it the company's largest renewable energy installation in operation. The expanded wind farm is expected to generate more than 2.7 TWh per year.
