CLAUDIO BISOGNIERO
H.E. Bisogniero is an experienced diplomat and he has long-standing relations with the United States. In 1992, he was posted as First Counsellor for the Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy in Washington D.C. with competences on financial issues, the IMF and the WB. He then served at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York, in charge of the political affairs and UN reform. Eventually, he was appointed as NATO Deputy Secretary General until 2011 when he was named ambassador to the US.
