Alan Gauthreaux, author and history instructor, will give audience members a look into the Italian immigrant experience in Louisiana as he speaks about his book, "Italian Louisiana: History, Heritage and Tradition" at 6 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Jeanerette Museum.

Gauthreaux will discuss the Italian contribution to Louisiana's culture. Preceding the talk, there will be a brief presentation on the Italians of Jeanerette who operated business establishments during the early 1900s. A book signing will follow Gauthreaux's talk.
