Center for Italian Studies Conference at Stony Brook University. September 17, Saturday, 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Remembering Justice Antonin Scalia. Presenters include scholars, legislators and judges along with former Supreme Court associates who clerked for Justice Scalia, who, all together, from different perspectives, will contribute to the composition of a mosaic that will reflect Justice Scalia's life and legacy. The conference will close on a unique note literally with a presentation of an excerpt from the opera Scalia and Ginsburg with commentary by its composer, Derrick Wang, and Stony Brook Opera Guild Director, David Lawton. The duet/excerpt, will be performed by Stony Brook Doctoral Students, Jeremy Little and Catherine Sandstedt Program as it is currently formulated may be completely viewed at www.stonybrook.edu/italianstudies.
