The city of Ravenna in collaboration with The Italian Academy of New York presents the conference "Ravenna after Fifteen Centuries", a unique initiative on March 7th 2013 to support the city's candidacy for becoming European Capital of Culture in 2019.
Ravenna, with a history of more than fifteen centuries and eight UNESCO monuments, is nowadays considered as a model of small global city for its economic, cultural and civil excellences.
For this reason the initiative, prompted by the University of Bologna and Ravenna Municipality, aims to promote the opportunities for partnerships and investments that the city offers, strengthened by its unique past and vibrant present.
