An Exhibition of Antiquities recovered by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in collaboration with the Comando Carabinieri per la Tutela del Patrimonio Culturale The Consulate General of Italy in New York and the Institute of Culture are pleased to present the exhibition Ancient Treasures from Italy, which includes 40 artifacts dating back to the Etruscan, Roman and Greek periods and to the Italic civilizations.

The pieces on display represent a selection from the 200 antiquities of the archeological assets that were returned on December 15, 2021 by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to the Consulate General of Italy, as part of a wider operation of previously stolen artworks transferred, illegally in the United States, recovered by Unites States investigators in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Protection Command of the Carabinieri. Entry will not be granted without confirmation email. Access will be allowed only to visitors who present proof of vaccination or a negative result of an antigenic or molecular Covid test carried out within 24 hours prior to visit. It is mandatory to wear a mask within the premises of the Consulate and the Institute.
