The Italian American Celebration and Parade Committee is honoring Christopher Columbus with a multiple days of celebration in October, including the annual parade. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Columbus Day celebrations in Hartford.
In addition to the parade, there is a four-day family festival, an banquet, a wreath dedication ceremony and a Italian Mass celebrated at Columbus monument at Columbus Park. A festival will be held from Thursday, Oct. 1 to Sunday, Oct. 4 and feature entertainment, rides and food.
