An army veteran who was deported to his native Italy is fighting to be reunited with his Connecticut family, reports WFSB-TV.
Arnold Giammarco lived in the United States for 53 years. After serving in the army as a non-citizen, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Giammarco was sent to Italy in 2012 after serving time in jail for a drug and larceny conviction from years before.
