John LaRocca, the general manager of University Club of MU, will be named the president of the Missouri Restaurant Association on Saturday. LaRocca served as the association's vice president last year. He will be appointed during the association's annual Inaugural and Awards celebration, according to a Tuesday news release.
The Missouri Restaurant Association is a statewide trade organization representing more than 1,600 member establishments, according to the release. The association provides networking opportunities and political representation for restaurants and other hospitality businesses.
