Recenly Al Rolandi, the president of WisItalia, contacted Richard Gollnick and Pete Feira, the Green Bay Wisitalia reps, to discuss a very exciting upcoming event.
Each year WisItalia has an Awards banquet to honor an Italian Teacher of the year and to give other awards for outstanding achievements in promoting Italian in Wisconsin.
This year WisItalia is giving the award to Club ItaloAmericano!!!!!
Since our summer passeggiate are unique to our club, Al suggested that we combine the Awards Banquet with a passeggiata. The date has been set for our third passeggiata on Thursday, August 22, 2013
We are in the process of forming a committee to help us make this a smashing success. There will be people from the Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee and Madison areas attending. We will want press releases and, hopefully, some TV coverage etc.
We need volunteers to serve on the planning committee. Please consider volunteering to be a part of this fantastic recognition of our club.
If you are willing to help, please call the Feiras at 494-9641 ASAP.
The date, time and location for the first meeting will be determined as soon as we have the committee in place.
Grazie mille!
