Nine young women from several area schools were presented Saturday evening as part of the Italian-American Societies of Summit County Columbus Day Cotillion.
The event, held at Todaro's Party Center in Akron, included flag bearers from the Kenmore Civic Club as well as a wreath presentation by the St. Monica Society.

"We are all one big Italian family," said Rosina Puhak She shared a table with her husband, Patrick Puhak, Ralph and Rosetta Dalessandro, Mary Bratta and Flo Nervo. Nicoletta Milicia Bloodworth served as this year's chairwoman. "These young ladies of Italian descent have distinguished themselves socially and scholastically," Bloodworth said.
