The taste, music and culture of old-world Italy will be celebrated this weekend at Festa Italiana. The festival at Freedom Hill County Park offers three days of entertainment by national and local performers, Italian wines and beer, family-friendly contests, a Family Fun Zone and Friday night fireworks.
“Much of our festival can be looked at as the same old stuff we have every year,” said Joe Ventimigila, who has served as festival chairman for the past 17 years. “But we know what people like and have come to expect. All in all, some things never change.”
