The Columbus Day ceremony, sponsored by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO and the Scotch Plains Italian American Club, will begin at 9 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 9, with music and have an official program start at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be located at the Alan M. Augustine Village Green in Scotch Plains.
The featured guest of the Columbus Day Ceremony will be former New Jersey Gov. Don DiFrancesco, Tom Donatelli, member of the Scotch Plains Italian American Club, Scotch Plains-Fanwood UNICO, and Scotch Plains Historical Preservation Committee, will be the host. Scotch Plains resident Daniela Sellinger will provide an overview of her family’s history in Scotch Plains, as well.
