Tony Montcalmo, chair of the La Famiglia Scholarship Committee offers congratulations and thanks to all who supported "A Taste of Italy," Little Italy Lodge's 2016 La Famiglia Scholarship fundraising dinner. A record 180-plus guests enjoyed Little Italy's own Amedeo's home-cooked Italian extravaganza of specially selected foods and Italian wines while listening to authentic Italian music played on traditional Italian instruments.
The event was punctuated by spontaneous arias performed by Towson University voice students. Guests were served by students, faculty and staff from Stevenson University, along with dozens of Lodge volunteers, family and friends. The result? Over $13,000 was raised to support the scholarship program intended to help Italian-American youth pursue higher education. Bravo!
