
The University of Utah Lyric Opera Ensemble will present "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant," a whimsical romp filled with operatic favorites and comic surprises. Robert Breault, who directs the program, said the bill of fare is a musical smorgasbord that includes food-themed selections such as "Les Poissons" from "The Little Mermaid," "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast," the Ice Cream Sextet from Kurt Weill's "Street Scene" and "Gluttony" from Weill's "The Seven Deadly Sins," along with numbers from "The Rake's Progress," "Nabucco," "La bohème," "The Magic Flute" and other operas.
