According to a Tuesday report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports' The Vertical, Italian swingman Alessandro Gentile appears poised to ink a NBA deal this summer. The Houston Rockets currently own the draft rights to the Italian superstar after he was originally selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second-round of the 2014 NBA Draft.
While Gentile would accept any NBA deal offered to him, his current dream is to play for the Rockets and new head coach Mike D'Antoni. "My goal is to play in the NBA next year," said Gentile. "I really hope this can happen. For me, Mike D'Antoni is like a legend in Italian basketball, an example for everyone. For him to coach me would be very, very nice."
