The Waterside Bocce Club, Phoenix, NY, hosted the Ambassador’s Cup symposium and bocce event, April 22 through April 24, 2022. Top tier clubs, representing the finest ambassadors and promoters of the sport, were in attendance for a weekend of collaboration and camaraderie. Teams from across NY (including NYC Athletic Club), AZ, CA, CT, IL, MA, OH, and KY epitomized a wide-range of demographics of the sport.
In conjunction with Autism Acceptance Month, NY Families FIRST (not-for-profit organization providing training, program, and support opportunities for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders) was identified as this year’s charity recipient.
Symposium Topics included: Exponential Growth of Bocce, Social and Developmental Leagues, Special Olympics, Community Engagement and Corporate Sponsorship, Creating Value and a Quality Experience in Hosting Tournaments and Leagues, Women’s Growth, The World Series of Bocce, Pioneering Bocce through Social Media, Podcasts and Live Streaming, Single National Tournament, and Branding & Standardization of Bocce.
Bocce Event: 18 teams representing 16 clubs, including our colleagues from American Bocce Company and The Bocce Bros, participated in pool play (5 games each) and a single elimination bocce tournament.
