
After a phenomenal opening weekend, Grinnell College's Emma DiGiacomo-Zahller '24 has received recognition from the Midwest Conference. DiGiacomo-Zahller, a utility player from Arvada, Colo. (J.K. Mullen), was named the league's Position Player of the Week after batting .667 with a 1.000 on-base percentage in four games at the Rochester Dome Tournament.
She was 8-fo-12 at the plate with six runs scored, two doubles, a triple and two RBIs. DiGiacomo-Zahller recorded a 3-for-3 hitting performance in a win over Macalester College and added two-hit efforts in two other games. In the outfield and infield combined, she recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
