The sounds of opera will fill the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute during an event this weekend. Operatic Soprano Tiffany Herring will perform Saturday during an event called “History of Italy and Italian Opera in Eight Vocal Pieces”.
Herring will sing eight pieces spanning from the earliest days of opera in 17th century Florence, Italy, all the way to the early 20th century. She will be accompanied by pianist Shari Spicknall. Herring is a Terre Haute native and lived in Rome, Italy for fifteen years. She said it’s very rewarding to perform for a live audience in Terre Haute.
