Actor Danny DeVito visited his old Monmouth County stomping grounds Monday. DeVito, 78, was in town to donate $500,000 to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, the hospital where he was born in back in 1944, when it was known as Fitkin Memorial Hospital, as reported by the Asbury Park Press.
Jessica Barberia of Belmar was on her daily run when she noticed DeVito walking out of Jersey Mike’s in Belmar — DeVito is now the face of Jersey Mike’s, appearing in several commercials.
