For the September Cinema Italiano, the Bowers Museum will be introducing Cena e Cinema, an Italian dinner and movie program! Join us in Tangata for dinner at 5PM (Menu TBA), followed by the film screening at 7PM in the Norma Kershaw Auditorium.


The Film: Mio Fratello e' Figlio Unico- My Brother is an Only Child (2007) (108 min).This follows the lives of two working class brothers who live in Italy in the 1960s. While his brother Manioc becomes drawn into left-wing politics, Accio, the hotheaded younger brother, is taken under the wing of a market trader and while under his influence, joins the Fascist Party. The film follows their rocky life. The film won four David di Donatello awards. In Italian with English subtitles.
