Sold-out debut for 'Paradice music,' the high-altitude festival with 35 live performances in three months in a theater-igloo on the Presena Glacier within the Pontedilegno-Tonale ski area. On Thursday, Jan. 4, 400 people attended the concert by the Paradice Orchestra, an ensemble born from the meeting of Armando's Locos, pianist Massimo Faes and Phenix, an all-female string trio.
The ensemble has proposed a series of monographs on great artists of pop and rock music, experimenting with both modern and classical arrangements. All concerts will be performed with instruments carved from ice: guitars, basses, violin, viola and cello, ukulele, drums and didgeridoo were made by artists Lino Mosconi, Giorgio Tomaselli and Matteo Aielli.
On Saturday, Jan. 6, space was given to 'Paradice Band,' which will pay tribute to two sacred monsters of Italian music, Vasco Rossi and Ligabue, through their memorable hits. For eight Saturdays, the group composed of Lino Mosconi on guitar, Saro Villari on drums, Carlo Ausserer on bass and Valeria Cordella on violin will accompany the audience on a musical journey enhanced by ice instruments.
