The Italian American Celebration Honoring Christopher Columbus Committee (I.A.C.) has announced the recipients of their scholarships for 2013. The recipients were selected by a Scholarship Committee headed by Professor Dario Del Puppo of Trinity College, Hartford.
The six scholarship recipients will each receive their $1,000 award at a fundraising event to support Columbus weekend activities in October. The I.A.C. presents its fourth annual "An Evening on Franklin Avenue" on Thursday, June 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Casa Mia Restaurant, 381 Franklin Avenue in the south end of Hartford.
