Staten Island man's return to hometown in Sicily an emotional reunion after 55 years

Not much changes in the Sicilian town of Noto -- just ask Great Kills resident Mario Belluomo.
After emigrating from the Italian city as a child, the 61-year-old professional photographer and court officer decided it was finally time for a return to his roots.


He visited Noto, located in the southeastern corner of Sicily, and several other parts of Italy, with his wife Barbara last month for the first time since he left the country with his family 55-years ago for the faraway land of Brooklyn.
