The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Johns Hopkins University seeks to appoint at the rank of Associate or full Professor a scholar of Medieval and Renaissance Italian literature with a distinguished research record.
In addition to expertise in canonical literary texts of the period from Dante to Tasso, applicants will have a strong record of publication and public-facing research in one or more of the following areas: gender and sexuality studies, performance studies, translation and the Classical tradition, book and print-media history, medieval and early modern environmental humanities, and the languages and cultures of the Mediterranean world.
