Each region of Italy produces its own unique types of Italian bread. Liguria and Puglia are famous for their focaccia, Basilicata is known for Pane di Matera, and Veneto boasts fantastic Ciabatta. In recent years, Tuscany’s reputation for comparatively nondescript breads got a boost when it’s rustic Pane Toscano received the IGP designation (we share the recipe below).
