Earlier this year, it was reported that a popular Italian restaurant in Boston's South End had been sold and that it would go through a slight name change when reborn. Now we have learned that it is in the process of opening. According to a post from BosGuy, Casa Giacomo's plans to soft-open tonight on Columbus Avenue initially only for walk-ins for dinner.
As mentioned earlier, the team behind Kava Neo-Taverna and Ilona (also in the South End) are running the place, which had originally been home to a location of Giacomo's; the other three locations of that restaurant in Boston's North End, Melrose, and Wayland remain open and under original management.
