From the Ferris wheel to the funnel cake, St. Charles Borromeo's annual event in Cinnaminson is the picture of a classic carnival. But carnival co-chair Brian Fitzpatrick takes in the scene and sees something else: A modern Main Street.
"As we've shifted to a downtown community to an online community, here is one of the few large-scale, down-home events that lets us come together as a community," said Fitzpatrick, who is heading up this year's carnival along with his wife Christy. "These types of events become a Main Street attraction."
