Jeff Malloy grew up in New Jersey and made his culinary reputation with his restaurant Carmen Trattoria in Boston's North End. But it was a combination of love and business that brought him back to New Jersey, where he and partner Melissa Virgilio opened Il Forno Café & Trattoria in West Windsor last October.
After the couple rekindled a long-ago romance on Facebook, they wanted to live together, so they chose New Jersey, where Virgilio is raising her children.
