United Airlines yesterday inaugurated its new daily non-stop flight between Venice’s Marco Polo Airport and its hub at Washington Dulles International Airport. United is the only airline offering a direct flight from Venice to Washington, D.C.

The airline has also extended its seasonal Venice–New York/Newark service into the winter season and started it earlier this year, launching on March 30 — three weeks earlier than in 2024. The flight will now continue through December 18, seven weeks past the end of the summer season.

The new flight will depart Venice at 9:40 AM and return the next day at 7:55 AM (departing Washington at 5:15 PM). There will be one flight per day through October 2025, except for the final month, during which there will be four flights per week.

This new Venice–Washington, D.C. route adds to United’s existing network of connections from Italy to the U.S.: in addition to the Venice–New York/Newark route, the airline offers year-round daily service from Rome and Milan to New York/Newark; year-round service from Rome to Washington Dulles; and seasonal service from Rome to Chicago O’Hare, San Francisco, and Denver (launched on May 2); from Milan to Chicago O’Hare; and from Naples to New York/Newark. United also launched a new seasonal route from Palermo to New York/Newark on May 22.

Altogether, in summer 2025, United will operate up to 14 direct flights per day from Italy to the United States.
