On the occasion of his last diplomatic visit to Italy, President of the French Republic François Hollande was hosted by Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at one of the most celebrated Italian restaurants in the world, the 3 Michelin star "Osteria Francescana" run by chef Massimo Bottura in Modena.
The capital of Emilian cuisine has hit the headlines thanks to the 3 stars awarded to Osteria Francescana after decades of honourably rising through the "media ranks", because although it is a restaurant that the French would describe as "gourmand," Massimo Bottura's establishment is a constant creative work that focuses on traditional ingredients and recipes from Emilia.
