Americans seem to have a fatal attraction for Tuscany: as soon as they arrive in the region and admire its landscapes, they immediately feel like buying a farmhouse, a village or a castle to turn into a private house or a hotel.

In the past years, the real estate business was flourishing so much thanks to American, British and Russian citizens that the term "Chiantishire" was almost begging to be invented. But the renowned wine area of Chianti is too small to meet the market's demand. So its borders are constantly expanding in all directions, as long as they are close to the famous Chianti.
