Starbucks, the US-based chain of coffee shops, is set to launch two outlets in Rome next spring: one at Termini station and the other in Piazza di Spagna. The Termini outlet is expected to open in March 2018 while the café at the Spanish Steps is due to launch in May, according to a report in Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Starbucks is believed to have selected the two Rome sites as being a relatively "safe bet" due to the large amount of passing tourists, although Italians have reservations about the arrival of the American chain in the land of coffee.
