San Gregorio Armeno in Naples, a statuette for Queen Elizabeth: "Addio Regina"

Naples pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth: a nativity figurine appears in San Gregorio Armeno in her honor, a tribute by the master craftsmen of the Neapolitan nativity scene for her death. "Addio Regina" (Goodbye Queen) reads a card placed at the foot of the terracotta figurine depicting the Sovereign. The workshop is that of Genny Di Virgilio, an artisan from San Gregorio Armeno, the world-famous street of Neapolitan nativity scenes.

The statuette depicts the Queen in one of her classic colorful dresses, yellow in this case, with matching floral bonnet. Numerous tourists, who continue to crowd the streets of Naples, intrigued and fascinated by the work. Beside Elizabeth, unfailingly, her beloved consort: Prince Philip.
