The area between Florence and Arezzo continues to fascinate me. While visiting the forests of Sasso Fratino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, I arrive in the charming village of Poppi - one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Upon arrival, you are met with an almost medieval atmosphere, with alleys winding along ancient stone walls and an impressive castle towering over the village as its crown jewel. Poppi has everything you would expect from a Tuscan treasure: beautifully restored historic buildings, a landscape of olive groves and vineyards, all with the unmistakable charm of the Casentino Valley.
