The character "Alfredo" in the Oscar winning film "Cinema Paradiso" was inspired by a real-life Sicilian projectionist and photographer: Mimmo Pintacuda. His story is now a documentary which will be screened for the first time in London by CinemaItaliaUK this coming July: the UK Premiere will take place on Sunday 12th July 4pm at Genesis Cinema (Mile End) Paolo Pintacuda.
The film will be also screened on Thursday 16th July 6.30pm at the restored Regent Street Cinema (The birthplace of British Cinema, near Oxford Circus) followed by a Q&A with the film director Paolo Pintacuda and the screening of "Cinema Paradiso".
