With an added value of over 30 billion euros, Italy is the second most important European agricultural economy after France, making 15.2% of the whole EU total value. This emerged from a research made by Censis for the Cia (Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori).
More agriculture in Italy's future. Recent years have been characterized by a wodespread and unexpected return to the agricutlureal world. Today, for 82% of Italians, the sector represents a strategic asset for the country's return to growth: 51% considers it a source of richness and employment, 31% thinks it could be the country's added value in terms of competitivity. This is what emerged from the Censis' research.
