The Italian Green Economy is growing. In Italy almost one out of two businesses (42% of the total) adopts eco-friendly operations and models and the "greenest" areas of the Italian economy are industry and agriculture, where the highest portion of businesses that have turned their environmental policies into an element of differentiation and a competitive advantage can be found. Moreover, 4 out of 10 businesses in Italy have a "green" brand today.
These figures were presented by Fondazione per lo Sviluppo Sostenbile (Foundation for Sustainable Development) in its latest "Relazione della Green Economy in Italia" ("Report on Italy's Green Economy"), during the fourth edition of the States General of the Green Economy, held in Rimini within the event Ecomondo-Key Energy-Cooperambiente.
