A new European hub dedicated to cultural heritage research will be launched soon in Florence, it will be based at the city's tobacco manufacturing plant. It is called "E-rihs" (European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science).
The investment was made by the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio Firenze, a foundation dedicated to the promotion of the well-being and development of the territory. It is this foundation that purchased the grounds for the headquarters, which made it available through an agreement with National Research Council (CNR) with "E-rihs" leading.
