Delta has just announced it’s about to be the first U.S. airline to offer direct flights to Catania, Sicily. The flights start next month out of JFK International Airport. “Delta is opening this long-unserved market, providing travelers unparalleled access to Sicily’s rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes,” Delta representatives said in a statement.
“Whether savoring a cappuccino in a Sicilian piazza or exploring the stunning vistas of Mount Etna, Catania promises an unforgettable experience. The airline just announced its largest-ever such summer schedule, with new routes not only to Catania, Sicily, but Naples, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Dublin, Brussels and other destinations from airports as far west as Detroit and Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
