On Feb. 27, Gen. Christopher Cavoli, commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, visited U.S. Army Garrison Italy, focusing on Army Family Housing construction, schools and the mission of the Southern European Task Force, Africa.
“Gen. Cavoli’s visit to Vicenza served as a powerful reminder of our enduring commitment to Soldiers and their families,” said Col. Scott Horrigan, the garrison commander, following the visit. During his visit, Cavoli toured construction sites at Caserma Ederle and Villaggio alongside garrison leaders. Future warfighters assigned to SETAF-AF, the 173rd Airborne Brigade and other units will one day benefit from these modern homes.
