Alfa Romeo’s new 2023 Tonale is about to change everything you ever thought about the Italian sports-car maker. The new Tonale crossover is available with either a turbocharged gasoline engine or a plug-in hybrid powertrain that provides up to 30 miles of all-electric range.

For most drivers’ daily commute, the Tonale’s pure-electric range should keep the gasoline engine off, making those weekly trips to the pump a thing of the past. The Tonale is a standout in its segment with its fresh Italian styling and invigorating driving experience. While Alfa Romeo has yet to release official pricing for the vehicle, we expect it to start at under $40,000 when it arrives stateside during the first quarter of 2023.
