Construction on the new Osteria Mazzantini Italian restaurant inside the new BBVA Compass Plaza at 2200 Post Oak Blvd. is making progress. The future Italian-style eatery is the brainchild of acclaimed Mockingbird Bistro Chef John Sheely and is slated to open mid-August.
The restaurant will have about 150 seats, including 50 seats on the outside patio, with a spacious bar at the entrance that will give patrons a view into the wine cellar.
