A tiny new restaurant called Flattery has opened at Northwest Highway and Preston Road. The restaurant specializes in “Ameritalian” food, says owner Bushra “Heather” Ali, which means pizzas, hot dogs, pasta and boats — oval-shaped hunks of bread loaded with pizza-like toppings.
Flattery opened in the busy Preston Center on Dec. 10. It’s the passion project from Ali and her husband, who had a goal of operating a restaurant “that captures the flavors of the world,” Heather says in an email. Some of their inspiration came from trips to Florence, Italy; New York City; Istanbul, Turkey; and parts of southeast Asia.
