Charleston Village Italian restaurant Le Farfalle opened in the summer of 2016, and now the owners Michael and Caitlin Toscano announce that they will start a second modern Italian restaurant in Manhattan. Named Toscano, the new place will premiere later this year at 24 Minetta Lane in Greenwich Village. The address is the former home to Perla where Michael was executive chef starting in 2012.

According to the press release, “Diners can expect a chilled seafood selection, extensive house made pasta program and dishes from the wood burning oven.” The restaurant will open for lunch and dinner with a full bar. The Toscano family moved from New York to open Le Farfalle in Charleston. Michael tells Eater that the family will remain in Charleston, and they’ll make trips back and forth between the cities.
