What makes Bar Sugo special among the Italian places in Norwalk is its chef's creativity, its two dozen small plates (plus half a dozen pizzas), and a focus on farm-to-table fare.
The menu from the chef and owner, Pasquale Pascarella, changes daily, depending on the market's availability. In a phone conversation after my visits, he told me that Bar Sugo is definitely a place for adults (though he certainly doesn't object to accompanied youngsters).
