The Italian Grill Brings Old School Red Sauce to Eaton

When I was a kid growing up in Greeley, the highlight of my year was choosing where to celebrate my birthday. I always picked a day at Elitches, before it moved to downtown Denver, when the venerable amusement park burst with meticulously groomed flowers and lush landscaping.

After a picnic lunch of fried chicken my Mom brought along in a cooler, we would play all afternoon, and then head to Pagliacci's, one of the many neighborhood Italian-American restaurants that dotted North Denver between Federal Boulevard and 32nd Avenue, Denver's Little Italy. Pagliacci's jaunty clown sign turned off its neon lights in 2012, but there are still family owned red sauce joints in west Denver.
