Mission Point’s fine-dining Italian restaurant Chianti is set to open for the season this weekend under the direction of the resort’s new executive chef, Adrian Diday. The late-season opening means fall travelers will be able to make reservations for a specially-curated, five-course prix fixe menu. Some of the options include oysters, zucchini fritters, lobster bisque, slow-roasted pork, pumpkin tortellini, asparagus risotto and torta al cioccolato.

Wine pairings will be recommended. Diday also oversees the resort’s Round Island Bar & Grill, Bistro on the Greens and its Boxwood Coffeeshop and Cafe. “Chef Adrian Diday speaks volumes to what it means to provide exceptional guest service,” said Liz Ware, Mission Point’s vice president of marketing. “He has swiftly elevated our farm-to-ferry approach to ensure our guests enjoy a true taste of the region when visiting the island.
