Wine lovers attending the annual Vendemmia Italian Festival this Sunday will be greeted with new dishes, new drinks and a return to a familiar location after a five-year absence. The outdoor party, held rain-or-shine, takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. at Tubman-Garrett Park on the Wilmington Riverfront.
The Vendemmia, which celebrates the autumn harvest, is a fall celebration of Italian food, drinks and entertainment. The festival was founded in 2003 by the da Vinci Society of Delaware and, for more than a decade, was held at Tubman-Garrett Park at 80 Rosa Parks Drive near the Wilmington Train Station.
