Owners of Luna Italian Cuisine in Mechanicsburg are expanding to Dauphin County. Later this year, Giovanni Scotto and his family will open a Luna at Susquehanna Union Green, a mixed-use development in Susquehanna Township. Giovanni’s daughter and co-owner Rossella Scotto said the family was approached several months ago about bringing the restaurant to the community developed by The Vartan Group.
“We do think it’s a great opportunity,” she said, noting an Italian restaurant will be a great addition to the area. Vartan Group CEO Ralph Vartan said Luna is taking space next to Playa Bowls and could open in six months. Potato Coop and Wendy’s also operate in the development at the corner of Progress Avenue and Linglestown Road.
